Spinal Stenosis is an abnormal narrowing of the spinal canal. Stenosis literally means “narrowing.” When the protective bony channel in the middle of your spinal narrows, nerves that travel or lie within or near the spinal cord can become impinged, or compressed, which in turn can lead to pain and other symptoms.
